Rodent Calls Rise 35% Across Colorado's Front Range

Rodent-related calls to EnviroPest increased 35% from October 12–26, 2026, compared with the previous two-week period. Fort Collins in Northern Colorado led the activity, followed by Boulder and Denver.

And while we're hearing about rodents in familiar hiding places like garages and basements, several recent calls involved mice turning up in rooms homeowners use every day.

What Colorado Homeowners Have Been Reporting

In Fort Collins, one resident reported mice behind kitchen appliances while another spotted one in a bathroom. A Longmont homeowner heard scratching in the kitchen and suspected mice, while Denver residents contacted us about mice in a basement and even a laundry room.

Other calls included rats in a Boulder garage, a mouse under an Estes Park kitchen sink, and a Fort Collins business dealing with a mouse problem.

These reports highlight how varied rodent problems can be in the fall, from activity in garages and storage spaces to mice appearing in kitchens, bathrooms, and other living areas.

Rodents aren't the only pests generating more calls. Spider-related inquiries also increased, including concerns about spiders in a Littleton townhome, a request for perimeter treatment in Longmont, and requests for indoor and outdoor spider control and web removal in Denver.

If you've noticed rodent or spider activity around your home, EnviroPest can help identify the problem and recommend the pest control services appropriate for your situation. Contact our team to get started.
