What do you think of when you hear the word wasp? Is it a large blackish flying insect with long dangly legs that is just cruisin’ around waiting for its next victim to sting? Or is it a more hornet appearing insect that just wants some sugar for food and will only sting when it has to? Or maybe you think like I used to when I was a young child, that wasps bite and hornets and bees sting. While some of these thoughts may be somewhat accurate, some of them are pretty far from the truth.
There are a lot of ants in Colorado. Millions of them, in fact! Perhaps you've seen one. Of course you have. They're everywhere. But, usually, they aren't in our homes or businesses. This is because we work to keep them out. Let's take a quick look at the kinds of ants that do manage to get past our defenses here in Colorado, and see what we do to fix that problem.
