The pigeon population in Colorado has increased dramatically over the years creating nuisance pest problems for business owners and home owners. While they may seem harmless they produce and carry bacteria that can translate into illness in humans.

Pigeons are filthy birds that thrive in Denver’s urban environment. That’s because of the ease in acquiring food and the ability to find safe nesting areas. Commercial buildings and even private homes offer a variety of nesting sites with their exteriors full of crooks and nannies that appeal to pigeons. Commonly referred to as flying rats, these day-time pest birds act very similarly to city rats and mice. They forage for anything edible and are not deterred by attempts to scare them off with replicas of their predators.
