Spiders In Colorado: A Fall Pest Problem

Although most spiders that infest Colorado homes do not pose a significant risk, they are an annoying pest problem when they create unsightly webs in the eaves or our homes and may even be a bit scary for those who fear spiders.

South American killer spider hitches a lift to the US in a coffin and starts to breed and kill. Don’t worry friends; this is not a recent head line or even a true story. It’s actually the plot of the 1990 horror movie Arachnophobia, as provided by IMDB. I’m not sure what it is about spiders but they have the uncanny ability to scare people of all ages and have even reduced grown men to petrified little boys.
Don’t Let The Bed Bugs (And Mosquitoes) Bite

All insects have their place in the world. There are vast uninhabited forests and deserts, so why do they insist on invading our beds and backyards? The answer is simple, our blood. There is nothing more annoying than uninvited mosquitoes dropping by for a bite to eat during a family barbeque and certainly nothing causes more stress than waking up after to find you have been the main course for blood-sucking bed bugs.
Ants Are Back!

Spring has arrived and with it, ants. Yes they are back and are busy foraging for food and establishing colonies. Unlike Carpenter Ants, who can cause extensive damage to homes, Pavement Ants and Odorous House Ants are more of a nuisance pest than any real threat to families and homes in Boulder, Fort Collins, Denver and all of Colorado. With that said, we still don’t like them.
